Job Description:

We are seeking highly trained Armed Security Drivers to join our Palo Alto team. The position involves providing armed security during the transportation of high-profile clients, ensuring a secure environment in transit, and maintaining constant vigilance. This role demands excellent situational awareness, the ability to handle high-pressure situations, and the capacity to respond quickly to potential threats or security incidents. You will be responsible for ensuring that clients are transported safely and securely across various environments, with a focus on minimizing risks and addressing any security concerns that arise.

 

 

Shift Information:

Armed Security Driver schedules will vary depending on client needs and specific assignments. Shifts may include:

  • Day Shifts: Typically aligned with the client’s schedule, ranging from 8 to 12-hour shifts.
  • Evening & Night Shifts: Security driving details may require late-hour coverage.
  • Overnight Shifts: For long-term or 24-hour assignments.
  • On-Call/Reserve: Candidates may be required to be on-call for urgent or last-minute assignments.
  • Weekend & Holiday Work: Some assignments will require security coverage during weekends or holidays.

 

Key Responsibilities:

As an Armed Security Driver, your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Safely and securely transport clients to and from designated locations.
  • Maintain a visible, professional, and armed security presence during client transport.
  • Perform pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle readiness and security.
  • Monitor surroundings and identify potential security risks during transit.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to any security incidents, ensuring the safety of clients at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, security teams, and operational support personnel.
  • Ensure discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism throughout all engagements.
  • Provide detailed security and transport reports as required.
  • Adhere to strict safety protocols and legal regulations regarding firearms and defensive measures.

 

Qualifications:

Candidates for the Armed Security Driver role must meet the following qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in military, law enforcement, or armed security.
  • BSIS Guard Card and BSIS Exposed Firearms Permit.
  • Concealed Weapons Permit (CCW/LEOSA/HR218).
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong physical fitness and ability to perform defensive security tasks.
  • Excellent situational awareness and ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
  • Defensive driving skills, with the ability to navigate high-risk environments.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and discretion in sensitive situations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team interaction.
